Lecture 01

Why not roaming. Cross it out.

Studying abroad used to start with chores before you could even message home. One eSIM, bought and installed on your own Wi-Fi before you fly, starts counting its days when it first connects abroad.

  • A roaming text on the runway
  • A queue at the airport SIM kiosk
  • A new SIM at every border
  • An address for a local contract

Lecture 02

Enrolment takes a minute.

Type your school email. We send a six-digit code to it, you type it in, and the student price is yours for 12 months.

No school email? Upload a current student card or enrolment letter. A person checks it within one working day, and we delete the file once it’s checked.

Lecture 03

Student prices, wherever you study.

Real 30-day plans from the live catalog, November 2026. Student price = price − 20%, once verification opens.

Lecture 04

Keep your number. Add the data.

Your home SIM stays in the phone. Texts from your bank and calls to your number still reach you there, at your carrier’s usual rates.

Turn data roaming off on the home line and let the eSIM carry all your data. Nothing to swap, nothing to lose in a drawer.

Lecture 08

Questions, answered

When does it start? +

Very soon. We’re finishing the verification step now. Until then every plan is on sale at the normal price, and once it goes live you’ll verify right on this page.

Who counts as a student? +

Anyone enrolled at a university, college or recognised language school, full or part time, at home or abroad. That includes exchange and Erasmus students, master’s and PhD students and summer schools.

How do I verify? +

With your school email. We send a six-digit code to it, you type it in, and you’re done. If your school doesn’t give out email addresses, you can upload a current student card or enrolment letter instead. A person checks it within one working day and we delete the file once it’s checked.

How long does it last? +

12 months from the day you verify. Buy as many eSIMs and top-ups as you need in that time. A month before it ends we email you a link to verify again.

Is an eSIM cheaper than a local SIM for a whole semester? +

Not always, and we’d rather you knew. For a stay of several months a local monthly plan is often cheaper, and it gives you a local number. arrigo helps most in the first weeks before you have an address or a bank account, on every trip outside your study country, and to keep your phone working without swapping SIMs. Read the study-abroad guide.

Does my phone support eSIM? +

Most phones from the last few years do: iPhone XS and newer, Google Pixel 3 and newer, and most recent Samsung Galaxy models. Your phone also needs to be unlocked. Check your phone.
